The Blue Danube Waltz package

Danube boat tour & concert

Thanks to the waltz by Johann Strauss called “An der schönen blauen Donau”, also known as “The Blue Danube”, this river is very closely connected with the musical scene in Vienna. This package gives you the opportunity to experience the Danube “live” during a boat tour and then enjoy a delicious dinner. The concert performed by the Schönbrunn Palace orchestra, which includes masterpieces by Johann Strauss, makes the perfect addition to the experience.

Inclusive services

  • 3.5-hour Danube tour departing from Schwedenplatz (You can choose between the following times: 10:30 AM or 2:00 PM)
  • 3-course menu in a restaurant within walking distance of the Palace (excluding drinks)
  • Free choice of seating in your chosen category at the Schönbrunn Palace concert
  • Category A only: a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at our concert bar per person
  • Only Category VIP: Included are: priority access ("skip the line") at both the concert bar and the entrance to the concert hall, a refreshing welcome drink before the concert, seats in the front rows, free coat check, an exclusive VIP program booklet, and a glass of sparkling wine.

After the concert has ended, there will be sufficient taxis available at the entrance to the Schönbrunn Orangery. The underground leaves in five to eight-minute intervals until midnight.

Please be at the point of sale at Schwedenplatz at least 30 minutes before the start of the Danube cruise. There you will receive your ship ticket: Vienna / City ship station, Franz-Josefs Kai 2, 1010 Vienna
After the Danube tour, collect your restaurant voucher and concert ticket from the reservation center of the Orangery Schönbrunn. Please note the opening hours.

 

On selected dates, the concerts take place in the Great Gallery or in the White-Gold Room directly in the Palace, in the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre or other concert halls in Vienna.

 

Can be booked every day from April to the end of October.

 

If a concert has to be cancelled, you will immediately be refunded the money for your booked tickets. Information on cancelling your booked product can be found in the GTCs.
